Il Tolomeo – a Postcolonial Studies Journal invites submissions to the 2020 issue (n. 22). Theissue is devoted to postcolonial approaches to the environmental humanities, withspecial emphasis on the most recent trends and developments. Topics may include: revisiting the postcolonial canon from an ecocritical perspective; literary figurations of the anthropocene and the climate crisis; posthumanism and postcolonialism; adaptation, resilience, survival in postcolonial literatures and cultures;postcolonial practices of climate activism and/or environmental justice; publichumanities at the intersection of the postcolonial and the environmental; blue humanities; indigenous knowledge; non-Western cultures of the environment; relationship between scientific and literary knowledge and creativity; global warming, deforestation and environmental transformation in literary texts.Il Tolomeo accepts submissions of the following kinds: essays (5000-6000 words, 30.000-35.000 characters, spaces included) reviews (1500-2000 words, 9000-15.000 characters, spaces included);interviews (1500-2000 words, 9000-15.000 characters, spaces included);unpublished pieces.For essays: Prospective contributors can submit an abstract (in English, max. 1000 characters,spaces included) to Complete articles are expected byJULY 31, 2020.
